Cztery lata minęły od masakry chemicznej, a zbrodniczy reżim  Assada wspierany przez   rosyjskich i irańskich sojuszników nie doczekał się sprawiedliwego osądu. Reżim  codziennie dokonuje najcięższych  zbrodni przeciwko Syryjczykom  niszcząc wszystkie elementy codziennego życia . Używa różnego rodzaju broni, w tym zabronionych na arenie międzynarodowej , które zmieniają syryjskie miasta w gruzy. Raporty wydane przez komisję dochodzeniową Narodów Zjednoczonych wykazały, że gaz Sarin był wykorzystywany do bombardowania terenów opozycyjnych  21.08.2013 r. W wyniku  tego  ataku zabitych zostało ponad 1600 osób, w większości dzieci. Broń chemiczna była jeszcze wielokrotnie wykorzystywana w Syrii .
